NEU CITY

NEU CITY merges urban farming with contemporary art practices in collaboration with the community and local youth groups. This project is in partnership with the Food City community garden, part of Children's Museum of Pittsburgh programming.

AUGUST RESIDENT ARTIST:
Hannah Thompson, Pittsburgh, PA

Connected Movement is a performative wearable sculpture in which the artists will work with the City View Church Girlfriends Youth Group to design and dance weird in costumes made out of recycled fabrics. During each workshop, ideas will be generated on how movement and imagery can be used to represent connectivity. The work will result in a connected performance that the artist and youth will perform during the NK Opening Celebration on August 29th from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Food City Community Garden.
